The Hawkins Smart 6 battery charger is intended to meet market requirements for a low cost automatic battery charger. The unit is made from high quality materials and components to comply with IEC 335-2-29 standards on performance, safety and electro-magnetic interference. It is designed specifically for flooded lead acid automotive batteries but can be used on sealed batteries also. The smart 6 is an automatic charger which delivers its rated current until the voltage of the battery reaches a preset level in the charger. The charger will then switch off, wait for the battery to drop to the minimum set point, and then switch on .The charger will cycle into this fashion indefinitely attached to the battery without danger, provided the batterys condition is monitored on a regular basis.
